OFFLINE MARKETING VS ONLINE MARKETING
by DEBASIS SAHOO
There are several forms of advertising media available both in the online and offline worlds, all of which have shown solid returns for advertisers and all of which carry their pros and cons. The question is, which combination of media will generate the highest returns for the advertising dollar.
OFFLINE MARKETING
Offline marketers believe the principles of “making a list of friends and family,” “contacting them,” “showing them their opportunity,” and then “following through.” They believe in the human touch approach. They still hold motivational seminars, dream building sessions, strategy meetings, and cold call sessions. Offline marketing is a type of marketing where there is no use of internet and so on. It is exactly a face to face interaction between each other, door to door to pitch and sell their products where we can convenience people for better sell of our product of something which we market for. It also includes traveling i.e for short distance within our locality, to our friends, relatives and so on. In offline marketing the advertising means is very wider where we can advertise our product on a much better way which can be understood by people very easily. Offline is more personal and there is nothing wrong with that, But you have access to a much more limited number people for business building if you don’t do a bit of traveling. Offline is mostly used to find distributors and people who might be interested in your product or whatever your selling.
Where as..
In ONLINE MARKETING everything is automated with very little human touch. Online marketers just want people to enter their information into their “capture” page and then proceed to blast peoples email addresses with auto-responder messages hoping to play the law of averages. They know that if they can get their message to enough people, then they will end up working in their favor. Online marketing is a type of marketing where there is a use of internet in a much wider way, where we can Access to loads of people across the country and the world. Online marketing include traveling .. Here we can do the conversation through online i.e through internet of by phone. Here in online marketing one can market with just having little knowledge about internet.. Online is mostly used for online for business builders.
Benefits:
In offline marketing we can build trust on customer coz we have a face to face conversation where as in online marketing people can only trust to some websites which are very popular and it is very difficult to build trust in this. You can track real-time results. Marketing online allows you to track real-time results using online analytics to make a determination on how your marketing campaign is performing. There are ways to track traditional marketing efforts, but most the time it cannot be done in real-time. This can mean success or failure to your campaign. Variety of methods in marketing online including email, audio, video, blog, social media and newsletters. But in offline marketing there are not so means. In online marketing online you have the ability to convert a customer instantaneously, but in offline marketing it takes more time to convert a customer into a sale not to mention the person power it often. Offline is very good it gives people the chance for word of mouth allot more many times online people just search themselves and do not recommend products as much because they forget were they even got it from. An online business can sell its products 24 hours a day while an offline business will open and shut at particular hours. A very beautiful thing in an online business is that people log on to look for a service or product that you can offer. Whereas, offline businesses have to rely more on push marketing than the pull effect. A few clicks of a mouse and the product is sold, in the case of web marketing. Offline marketing process is time and manpower heavy, from generating leads to making a sale.
